Evaluation & Speech and Language Therapy

Treatment

-
A personalized treatment plan will be developed based on the results of the comprehensive assessment and in collaboration with the client and their family/caregiver.
-
If an evaluation has already been conducted (within the past 3 years), then treatment will move forward based on a formal report and area of needs underlined during the previous testing.
-
Short and long-term goals will be developed to address each area of unique need to improve total communication functioning.
-
A list of tips/tools will also be provided to teachers to use and implement within the home and classroom setting, to aid in acquisition of goals. Ideally, I will consult with the teacher once a month to insure continues gains are being made within the classroom and support him/her in the process of aiding your child’s speech/language growth. If further consultation with teacher is needed, that will result in additional fee.
-
Goals will be specific, measurable, attainable, and related to overall communicative functioning and social success (when applicable).
-
Service recommendations will be based on the goals, with the number of goals and different areas of need driving the recommendation of service frequency and duration.
-
After each session, client will be given home program activities and exercises to reinforce new skills and for maintenance and generalization of gains.
-
A comprehensive progress report with data on all goals will be provided every 3 months
